At the Olympic Games thus far has been battling with an ankle injury for about two years. Wow. And that was probably the best fault that I have ever seen her do. That was really good 13.666. And it's sunny Lee who's in the, I took a break because I had retained £45 of water fluid. And um it just like, obviously, like it was super hard for me to like bend my legs like fit into my grips. Um I couldn't wake up because I couldn't fit into my clothes. Like it was just a lot of things like that and also mentally like I didn't want to like leave the house knowing that I looked like that. It was just kind of like a self esteem kind of thing, but also it was kind of like heartbreaking, I guess to go to the gym and not be able to do everything that I was able to do because before I got sick, I thought I was better than I was at the last Olympics. So it was just like a lot to work through. I'm so excited. It's a lot of pressure just because I haven't competed in my hometown, I think since I was 13 and I was like a level 10. But yeah, I'm excited. My friends, my family are all going to be able to watch and it should be super fun and super cool for just the state of Minnesota itself. Olympic all around gold medalists, Mary Lou Retton, Carrie Patterson, Natasha Lukin Gabby Douglas Simone Biles, Andy Lee. How does it feel to be on a list with the names that I just named off? Um I mean, I it's insane when I think of all those other girls, I think of them as like gymnastics legends and I think of myself as such a regular person. So it's crazy. Wow. I've never actually heard that list, like read out loud. But yeah, that's insane. Anything that I put my mind to like, I feel like I'm going to get it and like I've done it before and I feel like I can do it again. Obviously, like this journey hasn't been easy, especially after the Olympics and like dealing with my health issues, like not even knowing if I was going to be here. Um It's motivated me and that's the kind of motivation I need every single day to just be better.
